Top 15 of the best .io
You beat a costume
The strange case of the .io genres began in 2015 with a single game called Agar.Io.
Agar.Io was named after his cell-like theme (agar) and the domain name of the top level under which it existed in its original web browser form (.io) and offered a wonderfully simple, massive multiplayer-online -Adventure. The idea here was to devour smaller cells to make their own avatar bigger, taking some of these smaller cells to take the shape of their players.
After his great success (supported by fast Android and iOS ports), a series of games inspired by Agar.io. And so the .io genre was born.
We now have a blooming little .IO-subgenre filled with games that have started to extend the form into new directions.
Against this background we thought, now would be a good time to summarize some of the best and most popular .io games in the Google Play Store. Is your favorite missing on our list? Let's know us in the comments below.
