Everspace 2: There are good and bad news

There are good and bad news. First the good: The Early-Access version of Everspace 2 is also included in the Xbox Game Pass from 21 October 2021. In addition, you can buy the still unfinished space action game as a download title for the price of 38 euros in the Windows Store. In our opinion, the purchase price is worthwhile: Everspace 2 has left a very good impression in our extensive ear-access test. Nevertheless, the game is still a good deal from its completion, the developers of Rockfish Games have finally set up ambitious goals. To achieve the, the budget must be right, and here comes the Game Pass to the game. Michael Schade, CEO and co-founder of Rockfish Games, explains in a press release: So space pilots with Game Pass can not only rise early to the cockpit, but our team also receives additional budget to complete the story campaign as promised to perfect the endgame And on all platforms, the boundaries continue to remove the feasible.

The release shifts

And now the bad news: The release of Everspace 2 moves from next year at the beginning of 2023 .

Disappointing? Clear! However, the previous early access phase has shown that the team of Rockfish Games knows exactly what it does. EVERSPACE 2 has already started with ordinary scope in January 2021 in the Early Access. Since then, two large content updates have been published, with new areas, ships, weapons and lot more. On 3 November then follows the third momentum of new content, including the completely new star system Khaït Nebula. According to the developers, about 65% of the story content has been completed so far. At three other star system systems, two additional ship classes, trade, a quick travel system and endgame activities is currently still being worked.

What characterizes EVERSPACE 2?

Everspace 2 leaves the Rogue Like concept of its predecessor. This time you expect a story-driven singleplayer universe adventure, which is much more value for exploration. You can travel the semi-open game world across a galaxy map, from there, you control your various areas that you can then explore as pleasure and mood. In addition to exciting, uncomplicated dogfights, role-playing elements and lots of lot await you, and there are hidden loot and here and there even small ambient puzzles. The action looks class and plays. Only the somewhat Lahme music entertainment and the intermediate sequences consisting primarily of still images encountered criticism in our ear-access test.

Chorus: better than Everspace 2?
